The developers has made an application for a temporary close of the Right of Way from New Barn Lane to Welland Lodge Road, this will be for a period of 6 months commencing on 10th April. The Parish Council and your Borough Councillors have been given assurances that an alternative path will be provided along the boundary of the site.

Full planning permission was granted Friday 1st April 2016. Work will now commence on the infrastructure elements of the development, the roads and drains.
This application is in the final stage before full planning permission is granted. At this moment is time the granting of full planning permission will be a delegated decision , that is a Planning Officer will decide to permit or refuse the application.
At a recent meeting the Planning Officer commented that whilst the overall design will not change there are several matters which need to be addressed before permission is granted.
1.Three storey dwellings. Discussions are on going about both the design and location of these dwellings. Concern was expressed that the location of two three storey dwelling overlooking New Barn Lane threatened the privacy of residents on New barn Lane.
2.Changes to the spine road. It was highlighted to the Planning Officer that residents living in the 'Prestbury' sector, that is the sector at the lower end of New Barn Lane would have to exit the site via Prestbury Road. It has been agreed that the bus gate, the mid section restriction will be repositioned to allow residents access onto New barn Lane.
As a consequence of this extra work which is required, it is now unlikely that a decision will be made this year, and work will not begin on site until March/April next year.
